Funeral services for Roy Frederick Brockney, age 92, of Riceville, Iowa,
were held Monday, Nov. 7, 2005 at the Riceville United Methodist Church
in Riceville, Iowa with Pastor Thelma Colorado Subramanian officiating.

Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Riceville. Roy passed away Thursday,
Nov, 3, 2005 at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.

Roy, son of Charles and Amanda Volbreicht Brockney, was born March 1, 1913
in Mitchell County, Iowa. He was a graduate of Riceville High School. Roy
was united in marriage to Annette Van De Weerd on Jan. 9, 1941 at the
Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He was a retired farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Genevieve Cary,
two brothers Alvin and Leslie and one sister Laura Ferguson.

Roy is survived by his wife Annette of Riceville; two sons: Duane and his
wife Judy Brockney of Osage, and Dale and his wife Margaret Brockney of
Charles City; one daughter Karen Heskett of Minneapolis, Minn., seven
grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren

Arrangments were by Lindstrom Funeral Home, Riceville, Iowa.
