OBITUARY: Sarah Burwell, 1842-1921, Mitchell Co., Iowa

                             Miss Sarah Burwell

The many friends of Miss Sarah Burwell were saddened, Monday in learning that 
she died that morning at 10 o'clock at the home of her sister Mrs. Balsley. 

Miss Burwell suffered a stroke of paralysis three weeks ago, and since that 
time has been practically helpless. However, she seemed to be gaining until
a few days ago, when she was taken worse. 

Miss Burwell was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Burwell, old residents, 
who lived here many years ago. She was born in New York and moved here when a 
young girl. She lacked only a few months of being 80 years old, and up to the 
time for her last sickness had never been sick enough to require a doctor's 
care. 

Funeral services are to be held from the W. A. Balsley home Thursday
afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, and she will be buried in the Osage Cemetery.
