OBITUARY: Flora Covey, 1862-1911, Mitchell Co., Iowa MRS. FLORA COVEY Born April 28, 1862 - Died April 18, 1911 Mrs. Flora Covey, beloved wife of William Covey, was born in Alden, Erie Co., New York, April 28, 1962, and died at her home in Osage, April 18, 1911, at the age of 48 years, 11 months and 18 days. She had not been well for a long time, but had born up patiently and bravely until the serious illness of her husband and the sudden death of her son, Roy, prostrated her and her frail body could not rally. She realised, however, that the great change was coming some days ago and made all necessary preparations even to the selection of the text, Jno. 14:16, which was used for the funeral service. Mrs. Covey died as she had lived, strong in her Christian faith and faithful to the Lincoln Baptist church of which she was a member. Her husband to whom she was married at Lincoln, September 28, 1892, her daughter and many other relatives and friends mourn their loss. The sympathy of the community goes out to this family in their bereavement and sickness. Rev. L. T. Foreman, of the Osage Baptist church, conducted the funeral services April 20th, and the tired body was laid to rest at Orchard by the side of her son Roy.
