OBITUARY: Inger Halverson, 1834-1911, Mitchell Co., Iowa [Osage News September 26, 1911 ] Mrs. Inger Halverson Mrs. Inger Halverson was born at Wilmington, Houston Co., Minn., in September 1834. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church at that place. In 1875 she was married to Lars Halvorson. To this union 9 children were born. Three of these have passed away earlier namely: Helmer, Ida and Oscar. The following children survive her and together with their father mourn the loss of a beloved mother and wife; Gina, Luella, Isabella, who are present on this occassion. Mrs. R. Piper is on her way to California and is therefore unable to return in time for the funeral. Carl and Syver Halverson were on their way to North Dakota when Mrs. Halverson died and are also unable to attend the funeral today. The funeral was held Wednesday at the U.N. Lutheran church and the remains were laid to rest at the U.N.L. cemetery north of town. Submitted by Marilyn O'Connor 1/19/2006
