OBITUARY: Christine Hansen, 1858-1932, Mitchell Co., Iowa

                Chris Hansen, of David, Died Last Saturday 

Christine Hansen was born on May 23, 1858, in Langeland, Denmark, and died
at his home in David, June 4, 1932, at the age of 74 years and 11 days. He
grew to manhood in Denmark and served his country in the navy.

He emigrated to this country alone, coming to Carpenter, Iowa, where he
worked as a farm hand until he married and began farming for himself at
Mitchell and later near Little Cedar.

He leaves a wife, a daughter, Mrs. Hannah Cox, of Fenton, Illinois, and 
seven grandchildren; one brother, Albert Hansen, Towner, North Dakota and
four sisters in the old home in Denmark, besides a host of friends and
neighbors to mourn his loss.
