OBITUARY: Lizzie G. (Behrnes) Hoffer, 1861-1909, Mitchell County, Iowa

                                  Hoffer

Mrs. Lizzie G. Behrnes was born in Minnesota on July 29, 1861 and died at
her home in Osage on September 25, 1909. 

While quite young she removed with her parents to Iowa and this has since
been her home. 

On October 13, 1881 she was united in marriage with Mr. Wm. Hoffer. For a 
number of years they lived on their farm north of Osage but about five years
ago they removed to Osage and this has since been her home. 

Four daughters were born to her all of whom are living, viz: Mrs. Sarah Nims 
of Burville, Minn., Mrs. Katherine White of Portland, Oregon, Miss Emma
Hoffer of Riverside, Cal., and Miss Clara Hoffer who is at home. She is
also survived by her husband, mother, four brothers, one sister and two
grand children.

Mrs. Hoffer will be sadly missed not only by her immediate family but by a 
wide circle of friends. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the home, 
conducted by her pastor Rev. A. W. McDavitt of the Universalist Church.
