Oscar Anton Johnson 
Born May 26, 1886 
Died Jan. 7, 1914 

Oscar Anton Johnson, the son of Jens and Inbegorg Johnson was born in Rock 
township, Mitchell county, Iowa,May 26, 1886 and died  at the home place 
January 7, 1914. The first member of the family circle to be  removed by 
death, he is survived by his parents, three brothers, John, Mathias and 
Alfred, and three sisters, Mathilda, who is at home, Mrs. J. Christianson 
and Mrs. G. Shoger, both living near by, and Mrs Martin Aursland in South 
Dakota. 

The funeral services, conducted by the Rev. J.A. Urnes, were held in the
Rock Creek Lutheran church, with all the young man's brothers and sisters
present, as well as a number of other relatives. He was laid to rest in
the Rock Creek Lutheran cemetery.
