OBITUARY: Gerald Klapperich, 1922-2001, Mitchell County, Iowa





                            Gerald Klapperich

Gerald Klapperich, 79, Stacyville, Iowa, died suddenly on Tuesday, March
27, 2001, at his home.  Gerald was born Jan. 20, 1922, in Meyer, Iowa, the
son of William and Margaret (Hemann) Klapperich. Gerald attended Sacred
Heart Catholic School in Meyer. He worked for area farmers and was employed
at the Stacyville Coop Creamery for nearly 50 years. Gerald was a member
of Visitation Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

He is survived by sisters, Helen (Ambrose) Krebsback, Rose Creek, Alice
Mullenbach, Johnsburg, Rosemary Klapperich, Austin, Carol Osmundson, Austin;
18 nieces and nephews; 25 great-nieces and great-nephews; three
great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Oswald Klapperich.

Services were on Saturday at the Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville,
with the Rev. Joseph Schneider officiating. Interment was in the Visitation
Catholic Cemetery in Stacyville.

The Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage was in charge of the arrangements.
