Koschmeder Funeral services for Dr. Robert H. Koschmeder, age 77, of Grafton, Iowa, were held Thursday, July 28, 2005, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton, with Rev. Wayne Ellingson officiating. Burial was in the Grafton Cemetery. Robert died Sunday July 24, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, in Mason City. Robert was born December 12, 1927, at Mitchell, the son of Henry and Louise (Darius) Koschmeder. He graduated from Riceville High School in 1946, and then served two years in the U.S. Navy. Robert married Carol Fieldman on June 13, 1954, at Perry, Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State University in 1956 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. They lived in Grafton, Iowa, where he practiced veterinary medicine for over 49 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. Robert is survived by his wife Carol Koschmeder of Grafton; a daughter Linda Dagostino and husband Rick McBride of Grafton; two sons, Curtis Koschmeder and his wife Teresa of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and Kevin Koschmeder and his wife Sarah of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin; a sister, Marian Weldin of Williams, Iowa; six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
