OBITUARY: Arthur Richard Krueger, 1897-1982, Mitchell Co., Iowa [ St. Ansgar Enterprise - July 8, 1982 ] Funeral Services For Arthur Krueger Saturday, July 3 Private funeral services were held Saturday, July 3 at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home for Arthur Krueger, who died at his home here in St. Ansgar Wednesday, June 30. The Rev. Norman Betke was in charge of the service. Arthur Richard Krueger was born September 20, 1897 at Kensett, the son of Frank Carl and Augusta, nee Hartwig Krueger. He was baptized into the Christian faith October 17 of that same year at Emmanuel Lutheran church of Grafton; by Pastor Carl Landeck, Sr. His sponsors were Reinhold Hackbart, George Schultz and Eliza Lampke. He confirmed his baptismal vows March 16, 1913 at Emmanuel church, Grafton, having also been instructed by Pastor Landeck. He attended country school in the Kensett area. He moved to St. Ansgar and became a member of Immanuel Lutheran, St. Ansgar in 1928. March 10, 1940, he was united in marriage with Irma Dieterich at St. Ansgar by the Rev. Paul Brammer. This union was blessed with two children, Richard and Linda. Mr. Krueger became ill last November and departed his life on June 30 at the age of 84 years, nine months and 10 days. He will be laid to rest at Immanuel Lutheran cemetery, St. Ansgar. He leaves to mourn his death his widow, Irma; son, Richard of Hutchinson, Minn.; daughter, Linda (Mrs. Gary Anderson) of Duluth, Minn.; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Krueger and Meredith Anderson; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and five sisters, Emma Ingersall, Elsie Shook, Lydia Heinselman, Lena Heinselman, Hattie Krueger. Copyright 2005 K.L. Kittleson
