H. Kuehl, nee Sophia Miller, was born in St. Ansgar, May 11, 1882. Her education was secured in our public schools and here she grew into a winsome womanhood. May 11, 1905, she was united in marriage with August H. Kuehl. They made their home here. Their married life was blessed by the birth of five children. The deceased has been in poor health for about three years with that dread disease tuberculosis. She went to Colorado to regain her health but seemingly it was not God's will. She returned to her home about nine months ago, where she remained until last Saturday night, when she was called to her heavenly home about 10:40 p.m., having reached the age of 38 years 10 months and 1 day. She was a woman of religious convictions, a devoted wife and mother. Those left to mourn her departing are her husband and five children; Lloyd, Earle, Arlene, LaVerne and Irna; with her mother and one sister, Mrs. Herman Brandt. Funeral services were conducted at the home and German Lutheran church last Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Brammer.
