OBITUARY: Levi O. Lindley, , Mitchell County, Iowa Death of Levi Lindley After an illness of but a few days with typhoid pneumonia, Levi O. Lindley died at the home of Fred Otto in this city on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 1892 at 5:30 o'clock p. m., aged 21 years and 8 days. He was born in Cedar township this county on the 13th day of February 1872. Nearly five years ago he came to this city and engaged with Samson & Lezotte in their drug store and has since that time, been continuously in their employ. On Saturday, Feb. 11, he was for the first time confined to his bed and gradually failed until his disease terminated in death. A short funeral service will be held at the Congregational church in this city, conducted by Pastor Gist, after which the body will be taken to Rock Creek where further funeral rites will be held in the Norwegian Lutheran church, and conducted by Rev. J. Olson, when his remains will be interred in the cemetery in Rock township. Levi, as he is familiarly known in this city, was a young man of bright promise, steady and industrious, generous, and obliging. He was held in high esteem by all who knew him. His parents, who together with several brothers and sisters survive him, reside on a farm near Meroa in Cedar township.
