OBITUARY: Louise (Lubiens) Abendroth (Hellman), 1875-1911 , Mitchell Co., IA [Osage News-June 15, 1911] Louise Abendroth Louise Lubiens was born near Carpenter, Iowa, August 9, 1875, and died at Santa Ana, California, May 28, 1911, aged 35 years, 9 months and 19 days. At the age of 17 she removed with the family to Mason City, where on May 1, 1895, she was united in marriage to Walter Abendroth of the same place. They made their home at Rockford, Iowa, until March 1897, when they moved to Nora Springs, where her husband died in November, 1903. November 25, 1908 she was married to Emil Hellman, a cousin of her deceased husband, and in March 1909, they went to Redlands, Calif., his former home. Here she secured a divorce April 18, 1910, removing to Santa Ana in January, 1911. The deceased was a graduate of the de Lamorton School of Garment Cutting of Redlands, and established the Ladies Tailoring College and Sewing School at Santa Ana, of which she was proprietoress. Though deceased was not a member of any particular sect., she attended Sunday school and church and was a willing worker and cheerful giver in religious matters. She was ever a devoted daughter, kind and loving sister, and mother, a true wife and friend, respected by all who knew her. Those left to mourn their loss are, her two children Arville, aged 13 years and Carl, aged 11 years, besides her father, mother, sister, two brothers and other numerous relatives.
