OBITUARY: Marjorie (Saline) Mark, 1924-2005, Mitchell County, Iowa [ Original version webpublished on www.mcpress.com Dec. 28, 2005 ] Marjorie Mark Funeral services for Marjorie June (Saline) Mark, age 81, of Osage, Iowa, were held on Saturday, December 31, 2005, at the First Baptist Church in Osage, with Rev. Doug Brown officiating. Burial was in the Osage City Cemetery. Marjorie died on Christmas day, Sunday, December 25, 2005, at Rochester Methodist Hospital from pneumonia following surgery. Marjorie was born June 5, 1924, on a farm near Spencer, Iowa, the daughter of Isadore Henry and June Mary (Roose) Saline. Her family moved to Osage in 1937 and operated the Sani-Dairy. Marjorie was a graduate of Osage High School. In 1947, she married Robert Mark, and together with their family, they owned a Century Farm. She was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star, and was a member of the First Baptist Church for over 60 years, where her favorite position was nursery school teacher. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Allen Saline. Marjorie is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bob Mark of Osage; two daughters, Mary Brelsford of Kellogg, Minnesota, and Ann (Robert) Heise of Rochester, Minnesota; two sons, William (Mary Kay) Mark of Faribault, Minnesota, John Mark of Osage; six grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.
