Miller A funeral mass for David Carrol Miller, 60, of Nora Springs, Iowa, was celebrated on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mason City. The Reverend Harry Koelker officiated. Interment was in Park Cemetery in Nora Springs. David died Friday evening, July 8, 2005 at his home following a massive heart attack. David was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on Sept. 28, 1944 to Roberta (Smith) Miller and Werner Alvin Miller. He married Brenda Hungerford on July 12, 1975, in San Antonio, Texas and they lived in San Antonio and North Little Rock for the next 18 years. In 1979, a son Timothy Joel was born to David and Brenda in Little Rock. In 1990 David accepted a position as a social worker on the Mental Health Unit of Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, where he continued until his death. David was an active member of AA, with 29 years of sobriety. Preceding David in death were his mother, father and grandparents. His survivors include his wife of 30 years, Brenda, of Nora Springs, and son, Timothy, of Madison, Wisc. Also surviving are brothers Robert of North Little Rock, Ark.; and Richard of Charlotte, North Carolina; a sister Betty Rose Hall of Reidsville, North Carolina, his in-laws Eldon and Kathryn Hungerford of Osage and many cousins, nephews, nieces and extended family members, in addition to many friends.
