OBITUARY: Mabel Moe, 1896-c1976, Mitchell County, Iowa Mabel Moe died at Faith Home Funeral rites for Mabel Moe, 80, who died Dec. 7, at Faith Home, were held Friday afternoon at Rock Creek Lutheran church. Miss Moe had lived at Faith Home since April, 1970. The Rev. Paul Metzger, church pastor, was in charge, with arrangements by C. R. Champion and Sons. Burial was in the cemetery at Rock Creek. Mabel Moe was born Oct. 4, 1896, in Cedar Township, Mitchell county, the daughter of George and Oliva Finsand Moe. Miss Moe was baptized and confirmed at Rock Creek. She grew to adulthood on the family farm, remaining there with her brothers following the death of her parents. She attended the Public schools and Cedar Valley seminary. Miss Moe was an active member of her church, her circle and Rock Creek Church Women until her health failed. Survivors are two brothers, Clarence and Edward and one sister, Mrs. Herbert Norby (Alice); nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, and one brother, Olvin Moe.
