OBITUARY: Miss Ella Osborn, 1846-1921, Mitchell Co., Iowa [Mitchell County News -- April 12, 1922] Miss Ella Osborn Miss Ella Osborn died at 10:15 on Monday morning at her home in the 1st ward, at 75 years of age, from the usual infirmities of old age. Miss Osborn has lived in Osage for many years, and is well known by all. She was of an unusually beautiful Christian character-in fact her whole interest outside her near relatives was in the church and its works. She attended services regularly, and was always willing and ready to take her share of responsibility for the church's needs. Services will be held at the Methodist church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, her pastor, Rev. W. T. Smith, having charge of these last sad rites. Miss Osborn was born July 23, 1846, at Koscusko county, Ind., and when a child came here with her folks to Osage. She taught in the county rural schools for years and also at the Washington school building.
