OBITUARY: (Miss) Alda L. Rogers, 1910-2005, Mitchell County, Iowa Original version posted on www.mcpress.com - Aug. 24, 2005 Alda L. Rogers Funeral mass for Alda L. Rogers, age 95, of Osage, Iowa, and formerly of Charles City, Iowa, was held Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage with Rev. John A. Moser presiding. Interment was at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Osage. Alda died Wednesday afternoon (August 17, 2005) at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage. Those wishing to extend memorials or expressions of sympathy may direct them to the family in care of Alda's niece, Barbara Martin, 3258 50th Street, Riceville, IA, 50472. Alda Lou Rogers was born June 17, 1910 in Osage, the daughter of William H. and Bertha (Weinard) Rogers. Alda attended and graduated from the Osage High School, class of 1928. Alda had lived in Osage, Milwaukee, Wisc., Riceville, and Charles City. She was dedicated to and devoted to her family and faith. Alda attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage. Alda was employed as a certified nursing assistant throughout her working life. She was active in the TOPS organization, the Grandparents Club and enjoyed working with children at Washington Elementary School in Charles City for 20 years. She treasured her family and the time she spent with them. Alda was always willing to help and assist anyone at anytime. Alda will be best remembered for being a very hard worker. Preceding Alda in death were her parents; grandparents; two sisters, Bernice Gnewuch and Ruth Martin and three brothers, Oswald, Paul and William Rogers.
