OBITUARY: Henry "Hank" Runde, 1938-2000, Mitchell County, Iowa




                                Henry Runde

Henry "Hank" Runde, 61, of rural McIntire, Iowa, died Wednesday, Aug. 9,
2000, at the Riceville Community Care Center where he had resided for one
week.   He was born Dec. 21, 1938, in LeRoy to Paul and Elizabeth Runde.
He attended country schools in the Oakdale area and later attended and
graduated from LeRoy High School.

He was united in marriage to Barbara King on Nov. 14, 1959, at Sacred Heart
Catholic Church in Adams. Together they farmed in the McIntire, Iowa area.

He is survived by his wife Barbara; sons, Mike (Deb) Runde, Tucson, Ariz.,
Dean (Sandy) Runde, LeRoy, Ron Runde, McIntire, Iowa, and David Runde,
LeRoy; daughters, Sharon (Mike) Goldsmith, Rochester, Susan Runde,
Rochester; six grandchildren; father, Paul Runde, LeRoy; brother, Ed
(Corine) Runde, LeRoy; sisters, Elizabeth (Edward) Adams, Waverly, Iowa,
Anna (Tom) Bonnette, Riceville, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his mother, son, Alan and an infant sister.
                                
A funeral mass was held on Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in
LeRoy, Minn., with the Rev. Father Russell Scepaniak officiating.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
