                       Mindy (Carroll) Venz
                       
A private service was held for family and friends of Mindy (Carroll) Venz,
formerly Mindy Buck, 47, of Nora Springs, Iowa.  Mindy died Friday July 15,
at her home.

Mindy grew up on a farm east of Little Cedar and attended and graduated
from Osage Community Schools. She has three children, Corey and Dustin
Buck of Forest City, Alissa Buck of Nora Springs. Mindy and Gary Venz were
married Oct. 2004. Mindy enjoyed working with flowers, basket weaving
and spending time outdoors fishing and hunting.

She was preceded in death by her father Raymond P. Carroll, grandparents
Joe and Florence Bartholmey, Robert and Mary Louise Carroll.

She is survived by her husband Gary Venz; three children, Corey and Dustin
Buck of Forest City, and Alissa Buck of Nora Springs; two stepchildren,
Hunter Venz of Louisville, Ky. and Katie Venz of Mason City; her mother
and stepfather, Jane and Allen Smolik of Osage; brother, Chris Carroll of
Marshalltown; sisters, Robertta Carroll Huffman and Mary Jo Johnson both
of Osage, and Susan SmolikHagen of Janesville, Iowa; nine nieces and one
nephew.

Arrangements were by Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage.
