Funeral services for Calvin C. Williams, 66, of Mona, who died Sunday,
May 9 at St.Mary's hospital, Rochester, Minn., were held Wednesday, May 12
at Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. Gaylord Grant officiating.

Calvin C. Williams was born August 26, 1915 on a farm near Corwith [Iowa],
the son of Chester and Ethel (McGowen) Williams.  He attended country school
near his home and Corwith high school.  He had his own trucking business in
Corwith for a number of years, and later moved to Waterloo where he worked
at the John Deere plant for eight years.

In 1950 he married Carol Weigand in Lombard, Ill.  They moved to a farm
near Corwith in 1952 where they were engaged in farming.  In 1958 they
moved to a farm near Mona.

Mr.Williams was preceded in death by his father, Chester.  He is survived
by his wife, Carol; his mother, Ethel, Williams of Fort Dodge; four sons,
Kenneth of Apple Valley, Minn., Kelly of Austin, Minn., Keith of St. Ansgar
and Kevin of Wells, Minn.; one brother, Roland of Fort Dodge; six
grandchildren, Michele, Kenneth, Shawn, Candice, Kimberly and Kyle; three
daughters-in-law, Peggy, Carolyn and Barbara; nieces, nephews and many
friends.

Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona, with Rev. Grant in charge of
the committal services.
