OBITUARY: Silas Steven Yunt, 1852-1937, Mitchell Co., Iowa [Mitchell Co. Press - Oct. 17, 1937] Silas Steven Yunt Former Resident, Buried Here Wed. Silas Steven Yunt, 87, a former Mitchell County man died at this home at Flandreau, S.D. Monday, and the body was shipped here for burial in the Yunt family lot yesterday. The committal service at the grave was in charge of Osage Lodge No. 102, A.F. & A.M. on Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. Silas Steven Yunt was born in Illinois May 3, 1852. He came to this county at the age of 3, and remained until he was 21 years of age. Then he homesteaded in Moody county, 7 miles south of Flandreau, S.D., where he remained until his death. He had disposed of his property, however and removed into town some time ago. Mr. Yunt was a member of Tyrian Lodge No. 100, A.F. & A. M. of Egan, S.D., since March 3, 1894. He is survived in this community by a sister, Mrs. Jasper Balsley. He never married.
