Laura Agusta Culbertson died February 27, 1998 at the home of her grand-nephew, 
Parris Blair, San Angelo, TX.  She was formerly of Mitchell County and Chicago, 
IL.  Memorial services will be held at a later date with burial at Newburg 
Cemetery, Carpenter, Iowa.

Laura A. Culbertson was born March 25, 1906 in Rock Township, Mitchell County, 
Iowa to William F. Feldt, Jr. and Margaret Dreher Feldt.  She was baptized into 
the Christian faith on April 22, 1906 by Rev. J. Becker and confirmed on March 
20, 1921 by Rev. Gemaelich at St. John's Lutheran Church.  She attended rural 
school in Rock Township and furthered her education at a business college in 
St. Paul, Mn.  She was employed in Chicago, IL. for many years.

Laura married William Holmes June 29, 1929 and later divorced in 1937.

On July 15, 1950, she was united in marriage to Nuel K. Culbertson at Nashua, 
Iowa.  They made their home in Chicago and later moved to Osage.  Nuel passed 
away in 1972 and Laura returned to Chicago where she resided until her 
retirement.  She then moved to San Angelo, TX to be near her niece, Mildred 
Sipes.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nuel; brothers, Alvin, 
Clarence, Lawrence, Edward and Willard Feldt; sisters, Hattie Zimmerman, Alice 
Heard and Mabel Feldt.

She is survived by a step-daughter, Rhea Wind and three step-grandsons, Stuart, 
Steven and Scott Wind; sisters-in-law, Helen Feldt, Marion Feldt and Mildred 
Feldt; several nieces and nephews.
