Feldt Robertson klrob@hotmail.com August 17, 2006, 2:12 pm St. Ansgar Enterprise March 12, 1896 Michael Valentien Feldt was born in Gross Schlatikow, Pomern, Germany Sept 03, 1811 and died at the home of his son, Albert near Grafton, February 25, 1896, being therefore 84 years, 5 months, and 22 days of age. He grew to manhood in his native village and was married to Miss Caroline Louisa Brunk who still survives him. They arrived in America on June 08, 1872, stopping in Polk County for a few months. They settled in Mitchell County and have since remained in this part of the State. Eight children were born to them, five of whom are living. They are: August, William, Ferdinand, Albert and Mrs. William (Ernestina) Petznick, who all live within a radius of a few miles in the west part of Mitchell and in the east part of Worth Counties. Services were held in Grafton, Iowa with burial in the cemetery there. Additional Comments: Michael Valentien Feldt was a great-great grandfather of the submitter.
