St. Ansgar, IA Eclipse - August 14, 1935
   By candlelight, before an altar latticed with yellow and white flowers and 
baby breath, Miss Dorothy Davis, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. F. E. Davis of 
Strawberry Point, and Wenzel Eidahl, son of Mrs. Antoinette Eidahl of St. 
Ansgar, were married on Thursday evening at the home of the bride's parents.  
The Rev. Whitmore Beardsley, pastor of the Congregational church in Strawberry 
Point, read the single ring service.
   Attended by Mr. & Mrs. W. H. Hansen of Holstein, the couple advanced to the 
altar as the wedding march was played.
   Immediately after the service, a buffet luncheon was served by the bride's 
mother to the sixty relatives and friends present.  Mr. & Mrs. Eidahl left 
later in the evening for Des Moines, where they visited at the Erling and 
Alton Groth homes for 3 days, returning here Sunday for a few days visit.  
Then they left for Lake Okoboji where they will rent a cottage until the 
Holstein school, where Mr. Eidahl is a member of the faculty, starts.
   Mrs. Eidahl is a graduate of Strawberry Point high school and Iowa State 
Teacher's College.  She has been music supervisor in the Holstein school for 
the past five years.  Mr. Eidahl is a graduate of the St. Ansgar high school 
and Upper Iowa college.
