St. Ansgar, IA Eclipse - June 1946
   Miss Virginia Ruth Pahl, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Herman H. Pahl, St. Ansgar, 
became the bride of Charles L. Cooper, son of Mr. & Mrs. Ross Cooper of 
Kensett at 2 o'clock at Immanuel Lutheran church on Sunday, June 2nd, 1946.  
The Rev. T. J. Eickelberg officiated at the double ring ceremony. 
   Nuptial music was furnished by Mrs. August Kuehl.  The bride was given in 
marriage by her father.  The couple was attended by Mrs. Warren Cooper, Matron 
of Honor; Dorothy Hinsmann, and Mrs. Robert Brandt.  Marilyn Ann Boerjan, was 
flower girl.  The groom was attended by Warren Cooper, Clifford Kumm and 
William Neumann.  
   Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church 
parlors, about 100 relatives and friends attending.  The three course dinner 
was served at 4:30 with a three-tiered wedding cake as centerpiece.  The 
dinner was prepared by ten friends of the couple and was served by ten friends 
of the bride.
   The couple left Monday on a wedding trip to northern Minnesota.  They plan 
to be gone a week and upon their return, they will make their home with Mr. & 
Mrs. Herman Pahl for the present.  
   The bridegroom is employed by H. L. McKinley.
