E. Sponheim announce the marriage of their daughter, Dorothy, to Dr. John A. Jern, Neenah, Wisconsin, son of Mrs. Hannah Rydell, Wheaton, Minnesota, on July 3rd, 1937, at the First Presbyterian church of Neenah. The Rev. Walter Courtenay conducted the service. The bride wore her mother's wedding dress of hand woven batiste and carried a white colonial bouquet. Her bridesmaid, Miss Lois Fox, wore a rose colored redingote dress and carried a mixed colonial bouquet. Dean Anderson was best man. The service was attended by the immediate relatives, including Mr. & Mrs. Sponheim, Mrs. Rydell, Edward Rydell, Mr. & Mrs. William Wolf, the latter of Appleton, Wisconsin. Dr. & Mrs. Jern are at home at Neenah, following a trip through northern Wisconsin over the holidays. Dr. Jern is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and is engaged in the practice of dentistry. Mrs. Jern is a graduate of Iowa State College and a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She is associated with Miss Fox in the management of the Columns tea room.
