 Heisler Cemetery
Mapleton (Monona), Iowa

 

This is an active cemetery with burials dating back to at 
least 1831.  There are 710 + graves but some are illegible, 
some stones have only initials, and some stones are entirely 
blank (nothing inscribed).  Undoubtedly, some stones are also missing.    
I recorded this cemetery on five visits from 5/13/2001 – 8/17/2002.
