Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Peterson, Soldier, has completed a four-year high school course in three years and was valedictorian of the 1930 class, having an average of 94, which is the second highest average and is especially high for completing the course in the three years. Besides her general school work, Miss Peterson has taken part in all activities, having won the Monona county declamatory contest and several others. She has competed in eight contests and won places in six. She won two letters, has a gold medal, has been a member of the girls glee club three years, the girls quartet and mixed chorus. Gladys is planning on entering the University of Nebraska, where she will complete a course in fine arts and science.
