OBITUARY OF
ANNE M. AMUNDSON                        (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	Mrs. Anne Marie Amundson was born at Soldier, Iowa on May 6, 1877 to 
Sever Severson and Martha Clemon and passed from this life on December 13, 
1966 at her home in Soldier.  She had reached the age of 89 years, 7 months 
and 7 days.
	On September 5, 1900 she was united in marriage to Casper Amundson at 
Soldier, Iowa.  He preceded her in death on February 17, 1945.
	Anne and Casper farmed in the Soldier community most of their lives 
until retirement when they moved to town.
	Left to mourn her passing are three daughters, Mrs. Charles Dommer of 
Ute, Mrs. Stanley Levy and Miss Myrtle Amundson of Soldier; one son, Arnold 
Amundson of Ute; two grandchildren; three great granddaughters, and several 
other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by one daughter, Edith 
Hazel who died in infancy, one grandchild, Arlen Casper, three brothers and 
two sisters.
	She was a member of the Lutheran church at Soldier.
	Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 16 at the 
Lutheran Church at Soldier with Pastor Harry C. Sorensen officiating.  Mrs. 
Bernard Berens sang “Behold A Host Arrayed in White” and “How Great Thou Art” 
with Mrs. Harry Andersen as organist.  Bearers were Dolphin Clemon, James 
Severson, Lyle Carritt, Walter Clemon, Earl Rustin and Lowell Amunson.  
Interment was in the Soldier Valley Cemetery at Soldier under the direction of 
Pearson Funeral  Home of Soldier.
