	Leila M. Arndt, 83, of Onawa, Iowa, died Wednesday, August 24, 1994, 
at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa.
	Mrs. Arndt was born November 15, 1910, in Onawa, the daughter of 
Oliver G. and Agnes (Crossett) Jones.    She married William C. Arndt, Jr. on 
November 28, 1928, in Onawa.    Mr. Arndt died April 13, 1969, in Onawa
	
	Survivors include a daughter, Jean Dommer of Dunlap, a son, Vernon and 
his wife, Billie of Escondido, CA, six grandchildren, and nineteen great 
grandchildren, a sister, Darlaine Jensen of Onawa, three sisters-in-law, Rosie 
Naden of Onawa, Clara Chapman of Whiting, and Marian Jones of Des Moines; a 
brother-in-law, Ed Arndt of Onawa, and several nieces and nephews.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one infant 
daughter, Maxine, her son-in-law, Charles Dommer, Jr., a great grandson 
Brandon in infancy, three brothers, Loren, Ardon and Vernon Jones, and one 
sister, Florence Beedle.
	Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 49, 1994, at 
the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Onawa, Iowa 
	Interment was in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa, with arrangements by 
Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
