	Margaret Jones Ballantyne, 76,died Sunday, August 28, 1988, at 
Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Neb.
	She was born September 22, 1911, at Soldier, Iowa, to Earl and Clara 
(LaSeur) Jones.    On June 25, 1935, she married John T. Ballantyne at Council 
Bluffs, Iowa.    Mr. Ballantyne died August 29, 1968, in Sioux City.  
	Survivors include one daughter, Sara Jane Hammer of Omaha, one son, 
Johnny E. Ballantyne of Omaha, four grandsons, and one great grandson.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John, and one 
brother, Russell Jones.
