Mildred Irene Barnard, 89, died Thursday, June 6, 1996, at Burgess Memorial 
Hospital in Onawa.
	Mrs. Barnard was born March 12, 1907, in Marcus, Iowa, the daughter of 
Fred and Anna (Liggett) Mossman.  On September 21, 1936, she married William 
J. Barnard at Winfield, KS.    Mr. Barnard died November 15, 1978, in Sioux 
City.
	
	She is survived by two sons, William of Washington, D.C. and Bruce of 
Onawa; a daughter, Margaret Cochran of Kent Island, MD; four grandchildren, 
Carrie and Lettie Cochran and Abigail and William Barnard; a sister, Marjorie 
Belfrage of Sioux City and a brother, Fred Mossman of Omaha, NE.
	She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her 
brother, Dwaine.
