	 Margaret E. Barnes, 74, of Ute died Saturday, July 29, 1989, in a 
hospital in Omaha.
	Mrs. Barnes, the former Margaret McCall, was born May 21, 1915, in 
Ute.  She married  Dale Barnes Sept. 11, 1931, at Ute.    Mr. Barnes died Oct. 
16, 1988.
	Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Donna Hintz, Mrs. Wayne 
(Joanie) Ohlmeier and Mrs. Joe (Kathy) Carlson, all of Ute, Mrs. Lloyd 
(Darlene) Snow of Castana and Mrs. Gene (Janet) Schneckloth of Omaha;  a 
brother, Verter McCall of San Antonio, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Edna Hodges 
of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Charlotte Jacobs and Mrs. Geneva Larsen, both 
of Napa, Calif., and Mrs. Cecelia “Pat” Wessling of Danbury; 20 grandchildren 
and 40 great-grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, 
Betty Jean; a sister, Mary; two brothers, Everett and Norbert, and a grandson, 
Jimmy Joe Carlson.
