AMOS BARNETT                            (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	Amos Claude Barnett, Soldier, Iowa, passed away at Burgess Memorial 
Hospital at Onawa, Iowa, on September 17, 1981.  
	He was born at Norwood, Mo., on April 18, 1904, the son of Sidney 
Barnett and Perlina Dulaney Barnett.  He was united in marriage with Helen 
McAdon on April 5, 1926 at Harlan, Iowa. 
	Survivors include the widow, Helen, at home; three daughters; two 
sons; fourteen grandchildren, and five sisters, Mrs. Bill (Aretha) Lema of 
Merced, Calif., Mrs. Herman (Della) Hanson, Fortuna, Calif., Mrs. Ray (Golda) 
Gamble and Mrs. Sylvia Biedlieman, both of Eureka, Calif., and Mrs. Arda Cross 
of Dallas, Texas.  He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, 
Clarence, Bert, and Arley, and one sister.
