Rites Held For
Esther Berg                               (From the collection of  Vivian 
Norby Andersen)

	Miss Esther Berg, 57, a lifelong resident of the Soldier community, 
passed away early Sunday morning after an illness of several months
	
	Esther, daughter of Edward and Emma Berg, was born at Soldier, Iowa on 
June 16, 1902.  She passed away at her home in Soldier on Sunday, October 11, 
1959.
	Surviving are one brother, Nels Berg of Onawa; three sisters, Mrs. 
Rachel Thoreson, Mrs. Minnie Navrude and Clara Berg, all of Soldier; nine 
nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
