	Effie M. Bergstrom, 87, of Onawa, Iowa, died Thursday, September 17, 
1992 at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.
	She was born August 18, 1905, at Onawa, Iowa, the daughter of Harry 
Rufus Kratz and Grace Myrtle Bell (Etherton) Kratz.  On February 14, 1924, she 
married Walter Charles Bergstrom at Onawa.    Mr. Bergstrom died May 29, 1985, 
at Onawa.
	
	Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Maxine and 
Cletus Gotto of Council Bluffs, IA, Genevieve and Gail Crillo of Marshall, MN, 
and Peggy and Neil Kirkpatrick of Castana, IA; three sons, frank and his wife, 
Marietta of Omaha, Neal and his friend, Eileen, of Cypress, CA, and Jack and 
his wife, Marlene, of Imperial Beach, CA; one sister, Doris and her husband, 
Martin Swann of Adelphi, MD; 19 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
	In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a 
granddaughter, Judy; two brothers; and four sisters.
