	Winnifred  Birk, 69, died Friday, May 27, 1988, at  Onawa, Iowa.
	She was born March 15, 1919, at Blencoe, Iowa, to Sherman and Augusta 
(Pearson) Zortman. On March 7, 1939, she married Jerald W. Birk at Onawa.  Mr. 
Birk died March 17, 1966, in Onawa.  
	Survivors include two sons, Jerry of Council Bluffs and William of 
Sioux City, one sister, Shirley Turner of Onawa, five grandchildren and one 
great granddaughter.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two 
brothers, David and Charles.
