She had been ill for some time. Funeral services were held at the Soldier Lutheran country church Tuesday with Pastor Harry C. Sorensen officiating. Mrs. Bernard Berens sang “Behold A Host” and “How Great Thou Art”, accompanied by Mrs. Harry Andersen. Interment was in Soldier Valley Cemetery under the direction of Pearson Funeral Home of Soldier. Casket bearers were Wilton McDole, Andy Swenson, Arnold Britton, William Lehmberg, Elvin Heistand and Bennett Hagen. Anne Grace Boyce was born March 18, 1900 in Charles Mix County near Wagner, South Dakota and passed from this life at a Sioux City hospital on Saturday, October 7, 1967 at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 19 days. She was a daughter of Simon and Julia Severson. Anne was united in marriage to George D. Boyce on June 6, 1926 at Minneapolis, Minnesota. He preceded her in death in 1952. Mrs. Boyce had made her home at Soldier for the past two years and during the several weeks of failing health she had been a patient in the hospital. She is survived by her mother, Julia Severson; two sisters, Mrs. Lester Seehusen of Soldier and Mrs. Paul C. Krause of Sioux City; two brothers, Irvin Severson of Soldier and William R.
