Edward J. Bretthauer                            (From the collection of Vivian 
Norby Andersen)

	Edward J. Bretthauer, 88, of Ute, died Thursday, December 2, 1982, in 
a Sioux City hospital.
	Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in 
	Mr. Bretthauer was born September 11, 1894 to Henry and Ida (Peterson) 
Bretthauer near Ute.  
	He married Mary Hartigan January 24, 1944 at Ute.
	He was preceded in death by his six brothers and three sisters.
	Survivors include his wife.
