	Arnold O. Britton, 94, of Sioux City passed away Monday, July 3, 2000, 
at a Sioux City hospital.
		Mr. Britton was born July 1, 1906, in Soldier, the son of 
Martin and Augusta (Amundson) Britton.  
	He married Florence Ruth Gardner on June 6, 1931, in Soldier.  She 
died in November 1968, in Omaha.  He then married Evelyn G. Shea on Oct. 4, 
1969, in Soldier.
	Survivors include his wife; three sons and their wives, Clarold and 
Joyce of Ann Arbor, Mich., John and Bonita of Riverside, Calif., and Bill and 
Julie of Slater, Iowa; two daughters, Marcie Britton of Onawa, Iowa, and 
Barbara and her husband, Mariss Ulmanis of Seattle; a stepson and his wife, 
Jim and Patty Shea of Sioux City; a stepdaughter and her husband, Judy and 
Bernie Schreiber of Dakota Dunes; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Martin; and two 
sisters, Ruby and Helen.
