Thayer E. Brown, Sr.

	Thayer E. Brown, Sr., Turin, died on Tuesday, August 15, 1989, in 
Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, IA
	He was born March 14, 1894, the third generation of his family to farm 
near Turin.    He married Mary Jo Henrikson on September 6, 1916, at her 
parents’ home near Moorhead Mrs. Brown died October 19, 1985, in Whiting.
	
	Survivors include:  a son of Turin, two daughters, one of Evansville, 
Ind., and one of Fort Pierce, Fla., eight grandchildren, eleven great 
grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, Harl 
and Claude, and two sisters, Edna Baker and Fay Rowland.
