He had been ill for several days and had been in quite poor health for some time. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 1 at the Christian Church in Moorhead. Vivian Hanson sang “Old Rugged Cross” and “Sweet Hour of Prayer”, accompanied by Mrs. Harry Andersen as organist. Masonic rites were held at the graveside in Spring Valley cemetery. Ralph Oldham was orator. Casket bearers were Ival Hinkel, Shorty Solberg, Wilbur Skow, Carl Nielsen, Jim Pickle and Donald Hodges. Arrangements were by Pearson Funeral Home. Harold Roy Bryceson, son of Albert and Della Bryceson was born November 13, 1897 at Orson in Harrison county, Iowa and died January 28, 1965 at Mercy Hospital, Council Bluffs, at the age of 67. Roy was prominent in community, church and civic affairs. He was a member of the Christian Church of Moorhead and active in Elk Lodge 586, AF & AM. He was united in marriage on January 14, 1923 to Harriett Watts of Pisgah. She passed away January 1, 1951. On Dec. 23, 1955 Mr. Bryceson was united in marriage to Mabel Rude at Luverne, Minnesota. Survivors include his wife Mabel; two daughters, Lowayne Zenchuk, Omaha, Nebr. and Beverly Mills of Louisville, Kentucky, and six grandchildren.
