	Mabel Pearl Burke, 85, Onawa, died August 15, 1986, at Elmwood Nursing 
Home, Onawa, IA.
	She was born April 16, 1901, at Moorhead to George and Susan 
(Henderson) Bartholomew.  On July 4, 1919, she married Clarence Edward Burke 
at Castana.    He died February 6, 1970, in Turin,IA.
	
	Survivors include  a son, Ronald of Castana; three daughters, Mrs. 
John (Eunice) Wahlke of Auburn, Wash., Mrs. Gene (Charlotte) Zortman of Onawa, 
and Mrs. Doyle (Marilyn) Kratz of Omaha; a sister, Mrs. Mary Cooper of Ute; 
thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-six great grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, a 
sister, three grandsons, and a great granddaughter.
