Dean C. Butler, 68, of Indianola died Sunday, March 2, 2003, at Mercy Medical 
Center in Des Moines.

Dean Charles Butler was born April 26, 1934, in Willow Township, Monona 
County, Iowa, the son of Charles and Gladys (Torgerson) Butler. 
On Sept. 1, 1962, Dean was united in marriage to Gloria Bannick in Wiota, 
Iowa. 

Survivors include  wife, Gloria of Indianola; a daughter, Kristine Karlson and 
her husband, Paul of St. Paul, Minn; his mother, Gladys Butler of Onawa; two 
brothers, Ronald Butler of Roseville, Ill., and Larry Butler of Kansas City, 
Kan.; and two sisters, Carol Butler of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Norma Carrico and 
her husband, Terry of Oskaloosa, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his father March 1975.
