Former Teacher
Here Dies at 98                                     (From the collection of 
Vivian Norby Andersen)

	Clara Lee Carlson was born on April 11, 1870, in Green County, Wis., 
the oldest of several children of Mary and Ole K. Lee.  Olaf Carlson and Clara 
were married in 1892.  He died of pneumonia in 1905. 
	
	Clara died March 22, 1969 at Burgess Memorial hospital in Onawa at the 
age of 98.  Surviving her are her five children:  Oscar Carlson of Denison, 
Mabel C. Reinertsen of Evanston, Ill., Jessie C. Olsen of Onawa, Ernel Carlson 
of Billings, Montana, and Edna C. Gord of Davenport; six grandchildren and 12 
great grandchildren.
