	Grace Alma Carritt, 96, of Soldier, Iowa, died Thursday, August 8, 
1996, at her home.
	Mrs. Carritt was born August 30, 1899, at Soldier, Iowa, the daughter 
of Andrew and Jennie (Johnson) Swenson.    On December 11, 1918, she was 
married to Lynn J. Carritt.  He died June 25, 1966, in West Point, NE.
	
	Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Vivian and Olaf 
Sandvold of Moorhead, Iowa and Betty and Claire Sandvold of Soldier, Iowa; two 
sons, Lyle Carritt and Gordon and wife, Lillian Carritt, all of Soldier; eight 
grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Swen and 
Adolph; and six sisters, Lena, Clara, Mary Josie, Gunda, and a teenage sister, 
Grace.
