Carritt, 78, of Little Sioux will be held this(sic) at 2:00 p.m. this Thursday at the Pearson funeral home in Onawa. Elder Francis Hathaway will officiate. Burial will be in Jordan cemetery west of Soldier. Mr. Carritt, a former Soldierite, died Sunday at a Mo. Valley hospital. Mr. Carritt was born November 13, 1883 at Soldier. Before moving to Little Sioux 12 years ago, he farmed near Blencoe. He married Martha Nelson September 18, 1903 at Lacomb, Alt, Canada. Mrs. Carritt died last summer. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Blanche Howard of Little Sioux, Mrs. Mariam Hadden of Castana, and Ruth Benish and Mrs. Wilma Lawrence both of Omaha; four sons, Harold of Omaha, Joe of Ute, and Thomas R. and Kenneth of Little Sioux; three brothers, Fred of Los Angeles, Calif., Lynn of Soldier and Louis of Onawa; and two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Britton of Soldier and Mrs. Mabel Chambers of Eugene, Oregon; 35 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
