Oscar I. Casperson                         (From the collection of Vivian 
Norby Andersen)

	Oscar Casperson was born in Willow Township, Monona County, on October 
25, 1896, the oldest son of Hans and Mary (Millard) Casperson.  He had four 
brothers: Verne, Ralph, Lyle, and Harold, and two sisters, Merle (Mrs. George 
Fox of Dunlap, Iowa) and Evelyn (Mrs. Robert Sharp of Denison, Iowa).
	On January 20, 1923, he was united in marriage to Bess Moore, daughter 
of James A. Moore and Hannah (Hempstreet) Moore.  
	Bessie died on January 9, 1973.
	Oscar died on Sunday, April 13, 1986, at Denison, Iowa.
	Survivors include one brother, Ralph of Woodbine, Iowa; two sisters, 
Mrs. Merle Fox of Dunlap, Iowa, and Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Sharp of Denison, 
Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Bessie, and 
three brothers.
