Christensen, 46, of Sioux City were held Saturday at 1:00 o’clock at the W. Harry Christy funeral home. Rev. Loren E. Parker of Westminster Presbyterian church officiated. Burial was in Memorial park cemetery. Masonic rites were administered by members of Elk Lodge of Moorhead. Active pallbearers were Robert Meyer, Harley Matney, Fred Card, Edward Den Beste, Arthur Helmbecker and Harrell Lewis. Honorary pallbearers were James Walpole, Oscar Refness and Horace Rathbun. Mr. Christensen died at the veterans hospital in Omaha after surgery on Wednesday, October 3. He was born March 13, 1916 at Soldier. After serving in the Korean conflict he moved to Sioux City. He was in the army in the western Pacific during world war 2. He married Mrs. Evangeline Schmako Gliser on July 16, 1956 in Sioux City. He was a member of the Masonic lodge at Moorhead. Survivors include the widow; three sons, Henry, James and Reginald; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Christensen of Moorhead; two brothers, Edward W. of Sioux City and Vernon C. of Denver, and a sister, Mrs. Marie Skow of Moorhead.
